Michael Joseph Baker Obituary
Mr. Michael Joseph Baker, age 63 of Middleton, TN, passed away on April 24, 2013 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson.
He was born on April 3, 1950 in West Chester, PA to the late Joseph H. and Anne Vanderslice Baker. He grew up in Kennett Square, PA. He served his county in the US Navy. He is a graduate of Jackson State Community College.
He has worked as a Metrologist at Kilgore Flare company in Toone for 18 years. He was active in the Middleton Boy Scout Troop 922. One of his proudest achievements was being one of the few individuals to climb Mount Everest.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Yvette M. Rippee; two sons, James A.R. Baker and Joseph R.R. Baker; brothers, David Robin Baker of California, Richard Baker of Pennsylvania; sisters, Cheryl Finnan of North East, DE, Joy Chamberlain of Pennsylvania and Annie Baker of Pennsylvania; and a half sister, Betty Jo Truslow of Maryland.
The family will receive friends at the Doubletree Hotel in Jackson, located at 1770 Highway 45 Bypass, from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. They ask that you join with them in celebration of Michael's life.
